Living Life in Time Out

God disciplines those that He LOVES. And I like that 🙂

Come Awake

One day a mother put her child in time out, and the child sincerely thanked her mother for it as she walked toward the corner. After serving her five-minute sentence, she stood up and approached her mother with a sincere apology, explaining the heart attitude behind her transgression and resolving to be more like Christ in every way. The daughter also thanked the mother for loving her enough to correct her right away.

Quite possibly, there may be children somewhere that can immediately appreciate the love that fuels proper parental discipline. In fact, if they do exist, the whole family should be studied. Successful discipline is an area of parenting that often confounds me. First of all, I have to make sure I am not disciplining “out of anger.” Then, the child has to…

Real Talk: On Being Mr. Right

Was digging through some of my old posts and I found this gem… hope you like!

Song of the Week: The Anticipation- Fearless BND

Hey guys! It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these, but I thought hey, why not right? I chose this song not exactly to showcase the song itself (which, mind you, I do quite enjoy) but the band, or rather the movement to which it belongs. Fearless LA is a ministry based in Los Angeles that’s been geared toward reaching the city for Christ. Is that not awsomesauce? In the future I do have plans of being in California for a while, so I will have to make plans to pay them a visit during my stay.

Hope you all enjoy!
